Herbal and Naturopathic Consultations

Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy is a safe and effective approach to treat acute and chronic illness, relieve painful or uncomfortable symptoms, address the underlying imbalances causing them and restore a person back into health, vitality and joy.

Many health conditions can be improved or completely resolved through the healing support of food, herbs, energetic essences and nutritional medicines. At Aletheia Apothecary, we typically treat conditions encompassing digestion, chronic infections, food sensitivities, allergies, immunity, sleep, stress, skin conditions, male and female hormonal problems, fatigue and energy issues.

Knowing that every client is unique and has individual needs to support them on their health journey, we customise all our treatments, prescriptions and herbal formulas. A great Herbalist is a match-maker, the person who ‘introduces’ someone to the plants that are most suitable to their personality and health challenge.

Within a Herbal and Naturopathic consultation we take the time to truly listen to you, so we have a deep understanding of who you are, what is causing your symptoms and what will best support you back to health. We take a holistic approach and support clients and their families on the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual levels, so our treatment strategies will often include dietary advice, herbal formulas, nutritional supplements, energetic essences and/or energetic healing sessions.

We offer 20 minute telephone or Zoom consultations for helping with acute infections such as colds, flu’s, coughs and UTI’s and can arrange postage of formulas to your home.

For more persistent, chronic health issues we offer comprehensive face to face consultations in North Sydney, or online via Zoom.

Some Traditional Healing Philosophy

Let me indulge you in a little food for thought…

The art of healing is about reconnection. To your body, yourself, your environment, your community and your Spirit.

When we disconnect, for whatever reason, we separate from an energetic and spiritual lifeline through the heart that sustains and teaches us. Plants are teachers, animals are teachers, Nature is a teacher, other people are teachers, we are teachers. The energy flow and heart opening we experience when we love our pet, our garden, Nature, other people and ourselves is a healing vibration. This energy flow of love teaches us how to live with integrity to who we are and with respect and honour to all other lifeforms and non-human inhabitants we share this Earth with.

Everything is connected - more deeply, intimately and beautifully than many of us realise. The air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat literally become us. The energy we are surrounded by is part of us.

In the same way, everything within a person is intimately connected. Our emotions and thoughts effect our bodies; and our bodies effect our thoughts and emotions. The traditional healer understands these interconnections and views a person in their entirety; as a living being, breathing, interacting and engaging with others. A complex interplay and dance with our physical, social, emotional, psychological, sexual and spiritual selves.

Disconnection with or imbalance of any of these leads to illness. Symptoms, whether they be physical, psychological or emotional, are a communication that something is awry and requires some loving attention. All illness has physical, emotional and energetic qualities to it. True healing is not about attacking or fighting illness - it’s a process of listening, acknowledging and offering compassionate care to the parts of ourselves that are neglected and in pain. Only through listening, feeling and bringing back into love can we integrate, grow in Spirit, become whole and truly heal.
